When it comes to consumers who use their laptop primarily for gaming they can be quite picky on what device they select when making their purchase, and rightfully so as gaming properly requires more then what you are going to find on your average laptop. Today we are reviewing the Dell Inspiron F6CM4 which is designed for gamers and unlike many of the gaming units available comes with a standard 15.6 inch display instead of a large but bulkier 17 inch design. Below we will review some of the benefits and downsides on this device to see how well it stacks up.

If you are a hardcore gamer performance is going to be a key area for any new laptop you might be considering and this is a category that the Dell Inspiron F6CM4 does quite well in. Starting with the top of the line Intel Core i7 processor this model is packed with great specifications that also includes not just 8 but 16 GB of memory. This laptop is easily capable of handling the newest most demanding games easily with this type of performance packed under the hood.

Dell has done a great job of combining the best of both worlds when it comes the hard drive setup. They have included a large 1 TB SATA drive to cover all your storage needs but they also went the extra mile and included a fast performing SSD, which may only have 128 GB of storage but this is large enough to run your frequently accessed files so that you get the added performance boost.

No gaming rig is complete without a top end graphics card and here you will find the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M which has 4 GB of dedicated memory that is not shared with the CPU giving you the ability to easily handle games on the highest graphic settings.

One area where the Dell Inspiron F6CM4 doesn’t excel in is battery life, With 8 hours it falls slightly behind other standard 15.6 inch models. This can probably be traced back to the fact there is plenty of power hungry hardware in this device but if being mobile is a key requirement it may be some concern.

Overall the decision to include two hard drives is a positive but one of the drawbacks to this is it pushes up the total weight of the device and at 2.6 KG this Inspiron model is on the heavy size for a 15.6 inch laptop device.

The flaws on the Dell Inspiron F6CM4 are all to be expected due to the impressive hardware they have put into it making this a very good option for anybody who is big into gaming and wants a laptop designed for just this activity.
