Specs
Processor: Intel Celeron
Memory: 4 GB of RAM
Storage: 32 GB eMMC
Screen: 13.3 Inches
OS: Windows 10
Benefits
Unlike the Chromebook options that are available and also very budget friendly the Acer Aspire ES1-332 comes with software most of us are very familiar with. By running a Windows OS this Aspire model is able to keep those consumers who are worried about change as well as those that have concerns about compatibility with certain software packages by moving away from the ever popular Windows software.
The biggest issue on some of the other budget options for many consumers is the small screen size, as many of these feature an 11.6 inch display. For those that need a little bit more screen area to work with the jump up to 13.3 inches can make a huge difference.
Acer has packed some nice to have technology into this laptop model instead of stripping out all of the good stuff to keep the price of production down. It includes palm rejection technology which is a great way to avoid the issue of accidental contact with the touch pad. Along with this the BluelightShield feature gives you a quick option to remove the blue light from the screen and help preserve your sight.
Downsides
For a laptop that is so compact the battery life is surprisingly average on this device. 8 hours on a single charge will still keep you going for quite awhile before having to track down a power source but with other options available that get into the double digits this isn’t one of the strong points of this laptop.
Power users need to be well aware before considering this laptop that one of the reasons it is so budget friendly is due to the lower end hardware that has been included. It is not built to run the latest power hungry application or graphics intensive game but instead is better suited to day to day basic use doing things like social media, browsing the internet or replying to emails.
Verdict
The Acer Aspire ES1-332 is a nice overall laptop that provides consumers who are looking to stay within a budget a decent option that covers the basics quite well and also offers some nice new features that you don’t always find in laptops of this price.
