Dell has been around for a number of years and produces many different types of laptop lines from low cost budget options to higher end power user models. When you are talking higher end Dell laptops chances are you will be looking at an XPS model and that is exactly what we are reviewing today, the all new Dell XPS 13 H44FH. This model has some features that you will not find on a common laptop as is marketed to those that are willing to spend more to get a top quality laptop model. Continue reading below where we will review some of the benefits and downsides to see just how well this device stacks up.
Processor: Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB of RAM
Storage: 256 GB SSD
Screen: 13.3 Inches
OS: Windows 10
We already mentioned features that you won’t find in your ordinary laptop so lets start with those on the Dell XPS 13 H44FH. When it comes to battery life most consumers are used to having to find a power source throughout the day when on the go with their device, but that is no longer something to have to worry about if you decide this XPS laptop is for you. With up to 17 hours of battery life on a single charge it is very easy to just leave your power adapter at home and get the full day out of a single charge.
The long lasting battery is not the only edge this model has over its competition when it comes to mobility, With a slightly smaller 13.3 inch screen it is both light and slim with a total weight of just 1.2 Kg and a thickness of a mere 1.5 cm.
It is well known now by most potential consumers just how much of an advantage an SSD drive has over a regular SATA due to its lack of moving parts which translates into better performance. You will find a 256 GB SSD included in this device meaning it can take full advantage of the better performance an SSD provides.
Don’t get us wrong, the Dell XPS 13 H44FH is not an under powered laptop by any means but when considering the price tag that Dell has put on this device going with just an Intel Core i5 over the top end i7 processor seems like a letdown and that is on top of just the average 8 GB of memory it includes. We feel a faster Intel Core i7 with 16 GB of memory would have been justified for a device in this price range.
When it comes to raw performance you will find better options in this price range then the Dell XPS 13 H44FH but they probably won’t have near the great mobility features it has with its super long lasting battery and great lightweight design. For those on the go it is hard to beat this XPS and it should be high on your list for consideration.
