Anybody who has owned laptops for a number of years has probably heard of the Inspiron brand, This model of laptop from Dell has been around for what seems like forever and has continued to be popular mainly due to providing great reliability and offering consumers a price friendly option when selecting their next device. Below we are going to be looking at one of the latest such laptops to hit the market which is the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 G1DK0.
Processor: AMD A8
Memory: 8 GB of RAM
Storage: 1 TB SATA
Screen: 15.6 Inches
OS: Windows 10
As we mentioned above Inspiron is known for being a great value for the money and the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 G1DK0 is no different as it is priced well within the budget of most consumers but unlike some of the budget models available actually has some decent specifications to back it up. It starts with the AMD A8 processor and includes 8 GB of memory meaning this laptop is well suited for everything from basic day to day use to even heavier multi-tasking.
As file sizes grow storage demands continue to grow as well and nothing worse then buying a brand new laptop just to find out it can’t handle all of your important data you need to move over from your older devices. This shouldn’t be a concern at all with this laptop as it comes with a huge 1 TB hard drive, For those who don’t know 1 TB equals 1000 GB which is a huge amount of space and probably far beyond what any typical user will need.
If we had a neutral category this is probably where we would list this but since we don’t it has dropped down to the downsides area. The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 G1DK0 isn’t terrible when it comes to mobility but with 6 hours of battery life and a weight of 2.2 Kg it isn’t amazing either. Compared to its competition it is just average in this category.
With most modern laptops moving towards the newer and much faster USB 3.0 technology Dell has instead only included one of these ports on this Inspiron model while the other 2 available ports still run on the older and slower USB 2.0 technology.
The Dell Inspiron 15 5000 G1DK0 seems to be a great fit for those that just need a standard laptop for home, school or light business work. It is amazing in any single category but does well enough in them all to make it a nice multi-purpose laptop option.
