It is great to see how over the years Asus has went from a little known brand that most consumers avoided to becoming one of the dominant brands that consumers now embrace as they continue to develop great laptops that not only work well but have shown to hold up well over time also. Today we are looking at yet another one of these great laptops which is the Asus VivoBook K556UQ-DM1024T, This model hasn’t even been released yet and is already one of the most popular laptops that consumers are looking up. Below we will review some of the benefits and downsides to see if this might be the right choice for your next purchase.
Processor: Intel Core i7
Memory: 12 GB of RAM
Storage: 512 GB SSD
Screen: 15.6 Inches
OS: Windows 10
One of the ways that the Asus VivoBook K556UQ-DM1024T stands out is that they have went slightly above and beyond what typical models in this price range offer in just about every aspect. Are you needing high end performance? The Intel Core i7 processor along with 12 instead of 8 GB of memory provides just that. You want the faster and less power hungry SSD option for storage? You will find a large 512 GB SSD drive included instead of the 256 GB some models sneak in. Is gaming something that you need to be able to do from time to time? Instead of a basic integrated graphics card you will find an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX that has 2 GB of dedicated memory.
The full sized 15.6 inch display also gives great visuals due to its HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080. With so many compact models on the market sometimes nothing but a full sized display will do to handle work or play on your new device.
As much as we love the Asus VivoBook K556UQ-DM1024T not everything is amazing about it and probably the only really area it fall slightly behind is when it comes to mobility. With a total weight of 2.3 Kg it isn’t the heaviest laptop available by far but is not overly light either and can be cumbersome if you plan on doing extensive travel with this device. The other area of portability that doesn’t impress on this model is battery life, With 6 hours on a single charge it is still probably going to beat out your older laptop but there are plenty of other new options that easily beat this.
The mobility on the Asus VivoBook K556UQ-DM1024T may not be its best selling point but it is easy to look past this when you consider all the other areas that it truly shines. If portability isn’t your primary concern it is easy to see this is an excellent option for most consumers.
