Specs
Processor: Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB of RAM
Storage: 128 GB SSD plus 1 TB SATA
Screen: 15.6 Inches
OS: Windows 10
Benefits
– This model includes the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 which doesn’t match up well against the best graphic cards available but with its 2 GB of dedicated memory is going to give you a much better gaming experience than what many of the integrated graphics you find in most standard laptops will provide
– The Intel Core i5 is more budget-friendly than the i7 but is still packing a decent punch and when combined with the 8 GB of memory makes for a nice combination
– You will even find a hybrid hard drive combination in this model which gives you a ton of storage and fast read-write access for your commonly used files
– Battery life is quite good with the ability to provide up to 8.5 hours on a single charge
Downsides
– This model isn’t the most mobile-friendly for those looking for a laptop that can handle gaming but also be your go-to computer for work or school. It weighs 2.7 KG which is much heavier than the standard 15.6-inch laptop model
– Of the 3 USB ports that are included only one of them runs on the newer and faster 3.0 technology
Verdict
It seems like the Acer Nitro 5 515-51-57SV is kind of stuck between being a typical everyday 15.6-inch laptop model and being a high-end gaming laptop. While it doesn’t excel at either one of these it does a good enough job of both to be a nice option.
