As we start to get closer to spring this 15.6 inch laptop seems like a great way to shake the blues of a long winter with its attractive design and above average hardware under the hood. This laptop may not be the biggest and baddest on the block but it still packs quite a punch and just as important has a price tag that is realistic for the typical buyer. Below we will look into some of the benefits and downsides of this particular model and see just how well it stacks up to the competition.

Specs

Processor: Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB of RAM

Storage: 1 TB SATA

Screen: 15.6 Inches

OS: Windows 10

Benefits

One thing that Acer has made sure to do with the Aspire ES1-572-52Z0 is give it an attractive design. The elegant curvature and clean I/O ports give it a very modern look and while this may not be the most important aspect when choosing a new laptop for many it is something they highly consider.

Without going over the top and putting the price of this laptop out of reach for the average consumer Acer has packed some decent performance into this model as well. One of our favorite processors which is the Intel Core i5 is included here. The reason we love this processor so much is that is affordable yet still very powerful and seems to strike that perfect balance between the two.

You should have no trouble finding that exact port you need on this device as it includes 3 USB ports with one also running on the newer and faster 3.0 technology. Along with the USB ports you will find HDMI so you can quickly and easily put your display out to a larger screen.

Downsides

One area that the Acer Aspire ES1-572-52Z0 falls behind some of the competition in is mobility. With laptops becoming lighter and lighter and pushing the boundaries when it comes to battery life this model seems a little stuck in the past. The total weight of 2.4 Kg is far from ultra light and with just 6.5 hours of battery life on a single charge getting the full day out of your device is almost impossible.

Verdict

While the Acer Aspire ES1-572-52Z0 somewhat misses the mark on mobility don’t let this alone keep you from considering this as your next purchase since it does quite well in just about every other category. If mobility isn’t the highest priority for your next purchase then this should be high on your list.
